Sisu Youth Services is a low-barrier, gender-affirming safe space for transition-aged youth in Oklahoma City. Our mission is to end homelessness and hopelessness by providing a safe and inclusive environment where unhoused and at-risk youth can find the support and resources they need to pursue the life they want.
Our core services include an emergency overnight shelter and a drop-in resource hub, designed to support youth facing housing instability. At Sisu, we strive to create a place where all young people feel recognized, valued, and empowered to pursue their full potential.
We are passionate about fostering a community where youth are equipped with the tools and care they need to overcome challenges and build a brighter future.
What We Do
At Sisu Youth Services, we offer comprehensive support to transition-aged youth in Oklahoma City through a variety of programs and services. We provide case management, transitional living apartments, and emergency shelter to youth in crisis.
At our 20-bed shelter facility, youth have access to breakfast, a sack lunch, and a hot dinner each day. There are showers, a clothing closet, laundry, and a food pantry available to meet their basic needs. We also offer affirming support to the 2SLGBTQ+ community and ensure that ALL are welcome.
Sisu partners with several community providers to bring vital resources to our clients, such as education, mental healthcare, life skills, and employment opportunities. Youth may stay at Sisu’s shelter until a more stable housing option is identified; there is no hard limit on the length of their stay.
